Job Title: Director of Sales and Marketing

Job Description:Develop and implement marketing strategies and sales campaigns to increase the company’s market share of international sea and air freight forwarding services in China. Review sales process data and market research to evaluate company performance in various territories, determine sales potential, and forecast future sales and revenue. Develop comprehensive sales strategies to facilitate expansion into new territories and bolster performance in established markets. Perform correlation and regression analysis on existing logistics services packages to determine their profitability and recommend modifications and/or discontinuations of inefficient or unsuccessful services as necessary. Work with vendors and business partners to optimize logistical processes and minimize freight forwarding costs. Research and evaluate new supply chain technologies and integrate successful technologies into existing service packages. Negotiate freight contracts with airline and ocean carriers and revise existing contracts and supply chain operations to reflect changes in relevant laws, tariffs, and regulations. Educate sales and marketing staff on updated sales and marketing strategies and act as a source of expertise on supply chain management, freight contracts, international trade laws, tariffs, customs, and regulations. Write detailed sales plans for multiple territories, including sales goals, quotas, and revenue targets. Direct the activities of sales and marketing personnel and conduct regular performance evaluations. Identify, develop, and maintain key international business relationships with clients in the freight forwarding industry. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends in international logistics and supply chain management as well as changes in relevant laws, tariffs, and regulations. Will supervise 1 VP of Marketing, 1 VP of Sales, 2 Sales Executives, and 1 Assistant Sales Manager.

 

Requirements: The position requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration and three years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires strong knowledge and experience in sales, logistics and supply chain management to and from China, and statistical tools including correlation and regression analysis. The position involves some travel – 50%-79% of work time, totaling 26-41 weeks per year.
